TTT - The Time Traveler Watch by Nik Bentel Studio

The Time Traveler Watch

A collaboration between Nik Bentel Studio and The Trio of Time by Anicorn.  In which we created a 2 in 1 briefcase and wristwatch set.

Select your city, snap on the bag, and let your wrist take you there. Navigate the world's bustling metropolises with fashion. Our 'Time Traveler Watch' collection is a tribute to the cities that never sleep.

Inspiration Behind the Time Traveler Watch

The Time Traveler Watch design came about from thinking through how global time has been perceived over the years through wall clocks, specifically the classic time zone wall clock.

As global trade and travel exploded after world war II, time zone wall clocks became a staple for any business, airport or business person. The goal of a time zone wall clock was to create a universal understanding of time, so global trade, flights and international business meetings could happen on time even with confusing time zones. Graphically, this was achieved through the clock’s thick black and white aesthetic, a simple typeface and straightforward design.

The Time Traveler Watch and the Nostalgia of Time Zone Clocks

By repurposing the timeless design of time zone clocks, we harken back to this age of business and ingenuity. In doing so, it is as if we are traveling back in time! The combination of the briefcase, which was a staple for any business person, adds to our narrative that this watch may in fact be a part of this time period.

By using The Time Traveler Watch we can put down our digital devices and think about time as a truly global phenomenon. But beware, by using the time traveler watch, winding it back and forth as you enter new time zones, make sure to never lose it or you might be stuck in the past or future forever!
